Do you want to be part of the team responsible for keeping one of the Southwest’s top tourist attractions running smoothly and efficiently? The Ocean Conservation Trust is a charity focussed on habitat restoration and behaviour change, that owns and runs the National Marine Aquarium.

We are recruiting a full-time Chef who will be an enthusiastic member of our team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about food and motivated to display their excellent culinary skills. We are looking for applicants who will deliver a variety of high-quality light lunches and snacks as well as a range of evening dining experiences in relation to the seasonal nature of our business that is consistent with the Ocean Conservation Trust.

This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week, normal working hours of 7.5 hours per day will vary between our core working hours from 7 am to 4 pm including weekends and bank holidays. You will also be required to work some evening shifts when functions or dining experiences are scheduled. Flexibility is required to provide holiday cover.

About you:

  • Level 2 qualified chef/or a cook with proven experience
  • High standards of food hygiene and H&S
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about fresh, local and quality ingredients
  • Good team player

We will offer an hourly rate of pay between £11.79 – 12.43ph (depending on experience), continuous training, life assurance, staff discount, additional holiday with increased length of service and you will have your birthday off.
