There is Harbour Carpark and Lockers Quay Carpark which are less than a 5-minute walk to the main entrance and include disabled parking spaces. Unfortunately our 3 disabled bays are not accessible until the start of November due to essential decarbonisation works on site. We apologise for any inconvenience.
The Aquarium is accessible to people with wheelchairs. All exhibits are accessed either by ramps or by lifts.
A limited number of wheelchairs can be accessed via the Admissions team, however, it is a first come first serve basis.
Yes, you’re very welcome to bring a picnic with you when visiting the Aquarium. We ask that all picnics are eaten outside and request that your waste is taken home with you for responsible disposal.
Please also be courteous to other visitors by not sitting in front of exhibits for long periods of time obstructing the view of the marine animals.
We do not allow any form of smoking inside the building. This includes the use of any e-cigarette/vaping devices. This is to ensure that we avoid any confusion on reports of sources of smoke within the building.
We do have a garden in which members of the public may smoke/vape, but please can we ask you to be courteous to other visitors and staff using the garden and keep smoking or vaping to a minimum and away from the main footpath and garden doors.
